How to use stick on blades

Before using a stick on blade in the horse's mouth it is essential that they are stuck properly so as not to come loose whilst in use.
Follow these guidelines to ensure that the blade sticks well:
Firstly ensure that the float head is clean and dry, remove any adhesive left over from the previous blade and if necessary soak in hot water to make sure it is all removed.
Remove the backing from the blade and hold it in place on the float head. We then recommend wrapping a cloth around the blade and the head of the float and leaving it clamped over night to ensure the adhesive is able to work well - under a table leg or similar is ideal if you do not have a clamp to hand.
Then remove the cloth and check that the blade is stuck well.
Whilst storing the float with the blade attached we recommend using blade savers, not only to prevent wear and tear occuring to the blade when not in use, but also to prevent knocks from loosening the adhesive over time.

Tying up a horse

Tying up a horse

It is important that horses learn to stand safely when tied up.
